Biodegradable Technology

Our Commitment:

We love our Earth and are dedicated to upholding our part in preserving it. We are proud to practice sound Corporate Social Responsibilities, and pass on to our customers Guilt-Free purchasing and Guilt-Free disposal of our eco-friendly merchandise.

We selected fabric that is eco-friendly and biodegradable. In addition, our partners make sustainable use of industrial water in the dyeing and printing process. This allows the use of recycled water and avoids the use of fresh drinking water.

What is biodegradable fabric?

Think about all the items in your wardrobe. Chances are most of them have a longer lifespan than you do. Unlike most synthetic textiles, whose complete biodegradation can take tens or hundreds of years, our fabric completely decomposes in less than four years after its disposal in a landfill. However, the characteristics of the traditional polyamide (the nylon) are entirely maintained. In other words, our biodegradable fabric has the same durability and performance as conventional material and will not begin its accelerated break down during everyday use i.e. wear, wash, dry storage. It will only begin its biodegradation when exposed to the usual disposal conditions of landfills.

Simply put, our fabric is smart! Tests conducted in the United States in accordance with the North American standard for the evaluation of biodegradation of plastics confirmed the efficiency of the biodegradability of our fabric. The samples decomposed about 85% in three years and continue to show that all material should disappear in four years.

Like other biodegradable products, once it is in the landfill, Good Human Tech fabric breaks down into organic matter (biomass) and biogas. Both of these can then be exploited as new environmental resources as well as being used to cogenerate electricity.

According to reports, an average American will toss out 81 pounds of clothing each year. That amounts to 26 billion pounds of textiles and clothes ending up in landfillsAdditionally, the decomposing clothes release methane, a harmful greenhouse gas.
